L.A. REID IS LAUNCHING A NEW ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY.

Back in May, Reid has been accused of sexual harassment by a female assistant at Epic Records. In a letter submitted to Sony Music, the accuser, represented by an attorney, details instances during which inappropriate behavior was allegedly exhibited by the industry veteran. The harassment claim that preceded Antonio “L.A.” Reid’s exit last week from the top job at Sony’s Epic Records alleges that other Epic executives knew about Reid’s alleged conduct, a source tells Billboard.

According to reports, After exiting as chairman/CEO of Epic Records in May, Antonio “L.A.” Reid is planning to launch a new entertainment company early next year and has already started to try to sign talent and recruit executives, sources tell Billboard.

The company will include a record label and publishing unit, and will also represent producers. Reid has been courting former colleagues to help him run the business, these sources say.
